Warsaw raced past Wheatland in the Skyline Tournament, 68-38 on Monday.

The Wildcats jumped out to a 16-6 lead after one quarter and led 38-12 at halftime and 60-26 after three.

Randall Sherman scored 28 points for Warsaw. Jesse Chamberlin and Bailey Jelinek each added 13.

Warsaw will face Macks Creek in the Skyline Tournament at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Girls Basketball

Smith-Cotton 44, Marshall 37

The Smith-Cotton Lady Tigers beat Marshall 44-37 in a non-conference game Monday at Marshall.

Smith-Cotton outscored the Lady Owls in every quarter but the fourth, taking a 7-6 lead after one and a 20-16 lead into the half.

Abby Knight had 15 points and 14 rebounds for the Lady Tigers. Kirby Lewellyn added 10 points. Cheyenne Tumlinson and Jessica Coble each scored six.

“The girls came out and attacker their zone really well,” said Smith-Cotton coach Zach Vandevender. “We rebounded the ball well. The girls just played and put together a solid, all around game.”

The Lady Tigers will host Lee’s Summit North on Wednesday.

Windsor 68, Green Ridge 36

Windsor beat Green Ridge 68-36 in a Kaysinger Confere4nce game Monday at Green Ridge.

The Lady Greyhounds jumped out to a 21-7 lead after one quarter and kept extending the lead after that.

Bailey Rollins had 24 points for Windsor. Shelby Williams added 18 and Haley Crouch scored eight.

BreAnna Peck led Green Ridge with 13 and Samantha Unkel scored 11.

Windsor will host Tipton at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Green Ridge will visit Stover at 5:30 p.m. Friday.

Stover 42, Lincoln 38

The Stover girls basketball team held off Lincoln 42-38 in a Kaysinger Conference matchup Monday in Stover.

Lincoln jumped out to an 11-7 lead after one but Stover came back with a 13-5 run int he second quarter and led 29-22 after three.

Sloan Swearngin led the Lady Cardinals with 16 points. Paige Bybee and Allison Spunaugle each scored seven.

Stover will host Green Ridge at 5:30 p.m. Friday

Lincoln will host Sacred Heart at 7:15 p.m. Thursday.
