The Sacred Heart boys basketball team improved to 11-0 after a 95-39 win over Santa Fe on Saturday at the W-K Shootout.

Stefan Cox led the Gremlins with 32 points. Jimmy Villalobos added 19. Chase Lyles scored nine and Garrett Strange and Keyaire Marshall each scored eight.


The Smith-Cotton wrestling team took 11th at the 16-team Branson Invitational on Saturday.

Noah Aziere (19-5) had the highest individual finish for the Tigers, taking fourth at 152 pounds.

A pair of Smith-Cotton wrestlers, Tanner Proctor (20-5) at 132 pounds and Jacob Weeks (22-2) at 170, took fifth. Logan Parham (13-9) was sixth at 120.

Junior High Boys Basketball

Smith-Cotton 52, Clinton 38

Smith-Cotton’s eighth grade boys basketball team beat Clinton 52-38 in the Warsaw Tournament championship game. It is the Tigers’ third Warsaw tournament championship in a row.

Brice Pannier led the way with 13 points. Chris Sheiner added 11 points.

Smith-Cotton will host Warrensburg on Thursday.
