Five Sedalia youth wrestlers brought home first-place medals Jan. 25 from the Higginsville tournament.


Results include how the wrestlers finished in their bracket. Some weight classes had multiple brackets in the same age division.


Three of Sedalia’s winners were in the 6-and-under class. Adarein Hawkins won at 40 pounds, Zander Heaton won at 50 and Cooper Bradley won at 50.


In the 14-and-under division, Kris Houk won at 95 pounds, and Gauge Young won at 125.

6-and-under


2, Aiden Broxterman, 55 pounds; 3, Cameron Thomlinson, 60; 3, Logan Mumby, 70; 3, Ethan Moss, n/a; 5, Connor Wilson, 55; and 5, Clay Crooker, 55.


8-and-under


2, Gavin Jackson, 60; 2, Brayden Butts, 65; 3, Austin Clark, 65; 3, Alexander Herrick, 65; 3, Johnathan O’Connell, 70; 4, Tye Smith-Kares, 90; 5, Bradley Richards, 60; and 6, Connor Knox, 80.


10-and-under


3, Cain Young, 90; 4, Thomas Gardner, 75; 4, Eric Jones, 80; 4, Kali Butts, 95; 5, Riley Blankenship, 75; and 6, Tyler Denny, 125.


12-and-under


2, Izac Vaughn, 65; 2, Evan Meloy, 80; 3, Ethan Paxson, 130; and 4, Tanner Harris, 130.


14-and-under


2, Dylan Wolfe, 120; 3, Brennan Akeson, 105; and 3, Ruvim Schevchenko, 120;
