The Stover Lady Bulldogs beat Northwest 45-28 in a Kaysinger Conference girls basketball tournament consolation game on Monday at State Fair Community College.


Northwest led 9-7 after one quarter before Stover began working the ball into the paint, getting plenty of scoring in the low post and taking a 23-12 lead into halftime.


Mallory Uptegrove led Stover with 18 points. Carley Nolting added nine and Hunter Meisner scored eight.


Jessi Zimmerman led the Mustangs with 15 points.


Stover (12-8) will face La Monte at 4:30 p.m. today in a consolation semifinal.


Smithton 50, Green Ridge 47


Smithton advanced to the consolation semifinals of the Kaysinger Conference girls basketball tournament Monday at Sacred Heart School.


Smithton beat Green Ridge 50-47 and will meet Lincoln at 6 p.m. today at the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center.


Wrestling


Richmond 54, Knob Noster 14


Knob Noster fell to Richmond 54-14 in a wrestling dual on Monday.


Logan White won the 113-pound match for the Panthers with a 13-9 decision over Dyland Caldwell.


At 195 pounds, Nick Vansell beat David Parker on a tech-fall 19-3.


Weston Corbett pinned Drew Fizzer in the 145 pound match in 2:19.


Junior Varsity


Smith-Cotton 57, Clinton 49


Smith-Cotton beat Clinton 57-49 in a junior varsity boys basketball game on Monday.


Keoni Hale led the Tigers with 19 points. Gavin Jones added 18.


Smith-Cotton (4-8) will host St. Pius X on Thursday.


Late Saturday


Wrestling


Carrollton 48, Knob Noster 24


Logan White and Tyler Rogalski picked up pinfall victories, but the Knob Noster wrestlers fell to Carrollton 48-24 on Saturday.


White pinned William Warner in the 106-pound match in 51 seconds. Rogalski pinned Chase Aldrich in 1:35 in the 113-pound match.


Nick Vansell and Clarence Valelo also picked up points for the Panthers with byes.


In the 170 match, Knob Noster’s Kyle Thomas fell to Shane Stark in a 5-3 decision. Vincent Mayo lost to Jordan Creason in an 11-6 decision in the 126 match.
