Three runs in the final two innings lifted Central Missouri to an 8-5 win over Northeastern State on Friday in Tahlequah, Okla.

Tony Sandifer drove hom Trevor Jones with a single and later scored when Kevin Gratza bunted. Jones added an RBI single in the ninth.

The Mules took a 5-0 lead with two runs in the first and three more in the third. Brad Wilson hit a two-run home run and singled home in the third. Sandifer drove in a pair of runs with a single in that inning.

The RedHawks answered with a five-run rally with two outs in the seventh. Bryce Davidson and Kyle Singleton singled home runs and Cody Begovich double in another before David Weber finished the rally with an RBI single.

Zach Davis came on in relief to end the threat and was credited with the win, working 2.1 innings, striking out five and allowing no hits.

Brad Jelinek went 1 for 4 in the game.

The teams close the series at noon Saturday.
