The Lincoln golf team beat Tipton and South Callaway on Friday at Tipton. Lincoln carded a 183 with South Callaway second with a 202 and Tipton scoring a 222.
Lincoln’s Boone Kroenke was the medalist with a 41. His cousins, Tyler and Trevor Kroenke, each shot a 45. Blake Dulaban shot a 52.
Green Ridge 9, Crest Ridge 8
Connor Dillon hit walk-off solo home run with two out in the bottom of the seventh as Green Ridge beat Crest Ridge 9-8 on Friday.
Dillon also pitched the top of the seventh in relief and earned the win, setting down the Cougars one-two-three.
It was a back-and-forth game most of the way as the Tigers answered a Crest Ridge run in the top of the first to take a 3-1 lead after one. Crest Ridge tied the game with two in the second before Green Ridge scored two more to retake the lead 5-3. Crest Ridge chipped away and eventually tied it 8-8 in the sixth.
Justin McCarthy started the game for the Tigers, pitched six innings, struck out seven and walked two.
At the plate, Axton Harding went 3 for 5 with two doubles.
Green Ridge (1-1) will play Monday at Leeton.
Windsor 12, Adrian 10
Windsor scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to beat Adrian 12-10 on Friday.
Trenton Johnson led off with a hit, Tymon Lynde reached on a dropped third strike and Mason Briggs walked to load the bases. Back-to-back doubles by Quinten Rainner and Tanner Golden brought the runs home.
The Greyhounds took the lead with two runs in the bottom of the first before Adrian tied the game in the second. Three more Greyhound runs put them ahead 5-2 after three innings and it was 6-2 after four before Adrian scored six runs in the top of the fifth and added two more in the sixth.
Rainner was the winning pitcher. He worked 2.2 innings, struck out two, walked one, allowed four hits and two earned runs.
Briggs went 3 for 3 at the plate with an RBI. Rainner went 1 for 4, scoring three runs and driving in two. Golden went 2 for 2 with a double, a home run, scored twice and drove in four. Johnson went 2 for 3 with a triple and scored two runs.
Windsor (2-0) will host a doubleheader with Wellington-Napoleon and Pilot Grove Saturday.
