Mason Kelchner threw a no-hitter and the Sedalia Travelers won a pair of games in the Hi-Boy Tournament Monday in Independence.

The Travelers beat the Independence Bears 15-0 in five innings behind Kelchner’s gem. Sedalia racked up 13 hits in the game.

Sedalia opened the scoring with three runs in the bottom of the first, then added nine in the third and three more in the fourth.

In the second game Cody Kozak pitched a complete game as the Travelers beat Post 21 11-3 in five innings.

After Post 21 jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second, the Travelers answered with five in the bottom of the inning.

Kelchner drove in three runs with three hits in the game.

The Travelers (3-1) will host Fike in a doubleheader at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Dey Field, Liberty Park.
