The Sedalia Bombers beat the Branson Nationals 7-4 on Wednesday in Branson, scoring four in the first and one int he second to jump out to an early lead before holding on for the win.
Starter Reese Taylor pitched four innings and allowed three runs on nine hits, striking out two.
Tony Forcelledo came on in relief and allowed one run in two innings of work. Dan Chambliss and Brian Reed both held the Nationals in check over the final three innings.
Jarrod Perry went 3 for 4 at the plate with an RBI. Trey Hair also drove in a run and went 2 for 4.
Wild pitches, dropped third strikes, errors and walks allowed the Bombers to score the first run of the game and then load the bases in the first. Alex Bee and Kyle Reid drew bases loaded walks to make it 3-0. Shain Showers scored the fourth run of the inning on a sacrifice fly.
The Bombers made it 5-0 in the second when Perry led off with a double and scored on a single by Hair.
After Branson scored three in the third, Sedalia got insurance runs in the fifth and eighth.
The Bombers (12-4) will visit Nevada on Friday.
