The Rick Ball Ford Sedalia Juniors won for the second time in the UCM Tournament, beating KC Barnstormers Blue 4-0 on Friday at Crane Stadium.


Corbin Mertgen allowed four hits on the mound for the Juniors.


Jake Kindle drove in two runs with a triple. Chase Hagle was 2 for 4.


The Juniors will play the Sluggers at 12:15 on Saturday.


The Sedalia Bombers were also in action Friday. The MINK League South Division leaders had their three-game winning streak snapped in a 9-4 loss at the Nevada Griffons.


Nevada’s Brandon Downs had a three-run home run in the first inning and Cody Farrell blasted a two-run home run to left field in the second inning.


Nevada scored four in the first, two in the second and three in the fourth.


Jerrod Perry went 2 for 3 with two runs scored for the Bombers. Hunter Leeper, Jonathan Ramon and Daniel Arthur each recorded an RBI for the Bombers.


The 12-5 Bombers will be at St. Joseph at 7 p.m. Saturday to face the Mustangs. Sunday’s game at the Ozark Generals is scheduled to start at 5 p.m.
