Sedalian seriously hurt in Morgan County crash

A Sedalia man received serious injuries following a vehicle accident at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday in Morgan County.

Lonnie L. Smith, 49, was driving south on Missouri 135 at Route DD when he lost control of the vehicle around a curve, drove off the right side of the road and overturned, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Smith, was life flighted to University Hospital in Columbia for his injuries. Reports indicate it is unknown if he was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
