A Leeton man was sent to the hospital Monday after a motorcycle hit his car.

John T. Smith, 35, was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports. Western Missouri does not give out patient conditions.

The crash happened at 2:30 p.m. on Missouri 13 at Northwest 425 when an eastbound Smith turned his car into the path of northbound Ernest E. Hunt, 69, of Warrensburg. Hunt brought his motorcycle to a controlled stop on the shoulder after the collision.
