EDWARDSVILLE — A Cottage Hills man was charged Tuesday in Madison County Circuit Court with a felony charge of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine), according to a release from Madison County Sheriff Robert J. Hertz.
The release identified the man charged as Corey D. Mack, 34, of W. MacArthur Drive in Cottage Hills.
Mack was stopped Tuesday, June 10 at approximately 3:18 a.m. by a Madison County Sheriff’s Deputy after he was observed making a lane usage violation on Vaughn Road in Wood River. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Mack and he was arrested for driving on a revoked driver’s license. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of a digital scale and cocaine, the release said.
Mack was arrested and transported to the Madison County Jail where he was held pending a formal review of facts by the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office.
The felony warrant and information was issued by the Honorable Judge Richard Tognarelli, who set Mack’s bond at $15,000.0
