The Central Missouri Ag Club is happy to announce the winners of their annual photo contest. This year’s theme was “This is MY Agriculture.” Winners receive $100 for first place, $75 for second and $50 for third place in both the youth and adult division.

Caption: In Missouri the saying is wait a few minutes the weather will change. We can tell the weather is changing by watching the reactions of the animals, their instincts are sharper than ours, flies bite, clouds change and winds pick up.
Second Place: Hay Sense by Sydney Anderson age 17 of Tipton.

Third Place: Horns Sheep by Katherine Kehl age 4 of Smithton.

The judges gave honorable mentions to three entries by Lauren Yeager for her pieces titled: Still Standing, Tools of the Trade, and Beauty at Sunset.
When told of her photos taking first and second place, Sydney’s mother was thrilled and said Sydney will use the extra money to help cover the costs of her horse. Of special note, judges Faith Bemiss and Sydney Brink felt Sydney put a lot of thought into the captions of her photos.
First Place: Reflections by Taylor Heller of Green Ridge.

The photos were on exhibit at the Ag Expo this past weekend. Photos may be picked up at the end of the expo or at Jim’s Tire Service, 5245 S. Limit, Sedalia MO.
“This is a great exhibit with over 40 photos,” said Terri Ballard, Photo Contest Chair. “We are thrilled with the entries. Our judges, Faith Bemiss and Sydney Brink, had their work cut out for them. They took great interest in the theme and all the photos.” The committee would like to thank all who entered and our judges for their time.
