Woman injured in single-vehicle accident
A Knob Noster woman was injured in an accident at 11:30 p.m. Thursday in Johnson County.
Jill Y. Fitts, 41, was driving south on SE 501 when her vehicle traveled off the west side of the road and struck a ditch, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
Fitts was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center with minor injuries. Reports indicate she was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
Man injured in Benton County
A Cross Timbers man was injured in an accident at 8:35 a.m. Friday in Benton County.
Vernole D. Yates, 66, was driving south on U.S. Highway 65 near state Route T when he was struck by a westbound vehicle that failed to yield driven by Dale P. Ryan, 54, of Warsaw, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
Yates was taken to Golden Valley Hospital with minor injuries. Reports indicate both drivers were wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
