Smithton man injured in crash
A Smithton man was injured in a motorcycle crash at 9:30 p.m. Sunday in Pettis County.
Joshua J. Katemann, 25, was driving north on U.S. Highway 65 at County Road 765 when his motorcycle traveled off the right side of the roadway, returned to the road and slid across the center, then traveled off the left side of the road and overturned, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
Katemann was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center with moderate injuries. Reports indicate he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Woman injured in crash
A woman was injured in an accident at 3:34 p.m. Sunday in Johnson County.
Wendy L. Manaco, 56, no address given, was traveling on NW 1201 Road at U.S. Highway 50 when she failed to negotiate a curve, causing her motorcycle to travel off the right side of the road and overturn, ejecting her, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
Manaco was taken to Research Medical Center with serious injuries. Reports indicate she was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
