Store sends K2 back before it gets stung

Officers in the Sedalia Police Department STING Unit served a search warrant for synthetic cannabis at Short Cut gas station, 1515 Thompson Blvd., at 2 p.m. Wednesday.

According to reports, officers seized paperwork and a display case but found no synthetic cannabis, sometimes known as K2, Spice or K3. The owner told officers he sold K2 but upon reading about the search and seizure of K2 at FavTrip earlier this month, learned it was illegal and sent it back to manufacturers.

A search of the station corroborated his statements, reports indicate.
