Knob Noster State Park hosting historical program
Comments 0 | Recommend 0The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will sponsor a historical program from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 6 at Knob Noster State Park.
It is free and open to the public.
The program will cover the New Deal Programs created by President Franklin D. Roosevelt and their effect on state parks in Missouri.
Park staff will do presentations on the New Deal at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Visitors can tour the Works Progress Administration-constructed buildings in the park and view an exhibit on the Civilian Conservation Corps. There will be demonstrations of the tools used by both groups, including blacksmithing and wood framing.
