A Sedalia man reported to police that the exterior of his home had been shot with a gun.

Demetrius Brown, 30, of 313 N. Osage Ave., reported Friday his home had been shot between midnight and 12:45 a.m. that morning, according to

Sedalia Police Department Detective Sgt. Adam Hendricks said.

Hendricks declined to say what kind of weapon was used in the shooting or whether police had suspects because he was still investigating the case.
Brown first called police after midnight because he thought he heard gunshots, but then told police he thought it was a paintball gun, a pol report states.

He then called the Sedalia Police Department again just before 6 a.m., telling officials he thought his house had been shot at, Hendricks said.
Police found six bullet holes on the outside of the living room wall of the home, Hendricks said.
