2 Sedalians hurt when car leaves road
Two Sedalia teenagers received minor injuries after a vehicle accident at 11:55 a.m. Tuesday in Pettis County.
Samuel W. Risner, 19, was driving east on Anderson School Road, half a mile east of Henderson Road, when he began driving off the right side of the road, overcorrected and crossed the center line, overcorrected again and slid off the right side of the road into an embankment and utility pole, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.
Risner and an occupant in his vehicle, Trevor L. Simmons, 17, were both taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center by a private vehicle for their injuries. Both were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident, reports indicate.
