Two injured in Benton County crash

Two people were airlifted to University Hospital in Columbia on Thursday after a single-vehicle crash in Benton County.
Patrick Davis, 23, of Blue Springs, and Allison Heiman, 18, of Grain Valley, were injured in the wreck, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports. Both were in good condition Thursday morning, a hospital spokeswoman said.
The wreck happened at 1 a.m. when driver Tess E. Roam, 18, also of Grain Valley, crossed over East Outer Road onto Bell Street. The vehicle ran of the right side of the road and hit a culvert.
