Sedalia doctor hurt in motorcycle crash

A Sedalia man was taken to the hospital after his motorcycle collided with a car at the South Limit Avenue and West Third Street intersection.

Dr. Robert Frederickson, 55, was taken by ambulance to Bothwell Regional Health Center after the crash at 7:36 p.m. Sunday, according to Sedalia Police Department reports. Frederickson, a Sedalia physician who practices family mediice, was in good condition Wednesday, said a hospital spokeswoman.

The accident happened when Frederickson’s motorcycle turned in front of a car driven by Donald Wilson, 74, of Sedalia, reports stated. Wilson was eastbound on West Third Street, and told officers Fredrickson’s motorcycle turned in front of his car when the light turned green.

Frederickson was westbound, and said he looked for traffic before making his turn, but didn’t see any, reports stated. Frederickson remained on the motorcycle as it slid to a stop, officers reported.
