Sedalia woman arrested on drug charges after STING Unit serves warrant
A Sedalia woman was arrested on drug-related charges Monday after the Sedalia Police Department’s STING Unit served a search warrant in the 1400 block of East Third Street.
Tammy Brandkamp, 48, was arrested on charges of manufacturing a controlled substance within 2,000 feet of a school, possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession with the intent to use drug paraphernalia, according to a news release from the Sedalia Police Department.
At 8:41 p.m., the STING Unit, along with other Sedalia Police Department officers, served the warrant at 1400 E. Third St. The search warrant was for marijuana, methamphetamine and items used in the manufacturing process of methamphetamine.
During the search, officers found methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, scales, packaging materials and chemical precursors used in the manufacturing process of methamphetamine. A methamphetamine lab also was located in a shed on the property, police reported.
Brandkamp, the home owner, was arrested and is on a 24-hour hold at the Pettis County Jail, pending the filing of state charges.
The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected, according to the release.
