A Stover man was killed Wednesday in a head-on collision in Morgan County that injured two others, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol Report.

Scottie L. Simpson, 34, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by Morgan County Coroner Gary Garber.

Terry L. Simpson, 57, also of Stover, was taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.

No information from the hospital on his condition was immediately available.

Rickey O. Monteer, 58, of Barnett, was taken by helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia, where he was in fair condition Thursday, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Scottie L. Simpson was a passenger in the van driven by Terry L. Simpson. The two were westbound on on state Route C near Gracy Creek Road at about 9 a.m. when the van and the eastbound car driven by Monteer collided.

Scottie L. Simpson was ejected from the vehicle. He was not wearing his seat belt, reports state.
