Stover man killed while riding motorcycle

A Stover man died Sunday night after he was struck from behind while riding his motorcycle in Morgan County, the Highway Patrol reported.
James D. Bauer, 63, was airlifted to University Hospital in Columbia, where he was pronounced dead at 8:53 p.m. Sunday.
Bauer was eastbound on state Route 52, about two miles west of state Route T, just before 6 p.m., when was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Stover resident Eric Wilbanks, troopers reported.
