Warsaw man drowns in Lake of the Ozarks
Comments 0 | Recommend 0A Warsaw man drowned in the Lake of the Ozarks on Monday, the Missouri State Water Patrol reported.
Terrell Thurman, 57, was pronounced dead at about 1:30 p.m. Monday by Benton County Coroner Jim Miller.
A witness saw Thurman waving his arms and calling for help from the water near Mile Marker 91 at 1:15 p.m., and went to call 911, the Water Patrol reported. After returning to the dock, the witness could no longer see Thurman.
Officers with the Water Patrol recovered Thurman’s body in 12 feet of water. Investigators found his boat undamaged and floating nearby, but they do not know how Thurman ended up in the water.
