Child Safe seeks talent for fundraiser
Comments 0 | Recommend 0If you’ve got talent, officials at Child Safe of Central Missouri Inc. need you to step up to the stage for a worthy cause.
Child Safe will be hosting its third annual ‘got talent’ fundraiser show on Nov. 7 at the Missouri Electric Co-op Building at the Missouri State Fairgrounds.
Debbie Hurr, development director for Child Safe, encourages everyone to get involved.
“We want people to showcase their talents and we also want spectators to come and watch the show,” she said.
Doors open at 4 p.m., dinner is scheduled to be served at 5 p.m., and the talent contest kicks off at 6 p.m.
Tickets for the event went on sale Monday and are available at Break Time convenience stores in Sedalia and Warrensburg, Hurr said.
Tickets also may be purchased at Warehouse Tire and Midland Printing in Sedalia, she added. Cost is $15 per person in advance or $20 at the door. Ticket price includes dinner and the show. All proceeds go to Child Safe of Central Missouri.
A cash bar also will be offered at the event, so no one under the age of 21 will be allowed, including performers, Hurr said.
Entry forms for those wishing to perform may be picked up at the Child Safe office in Sedalia, 102 E. 10th St.
There is no fee to perform and participants receive dinner. More than $500 in prizes, along with raffles, also will be offered, Hurr said. Entry forms must be received by Oct. 30.
Child Safe of Central Missouri Inc. is a child advocacy center serving children who are victims of severe physical or sexual abuse.
