Child dies in Knob Noster fire

Knob Noster police and the state fire marshal’s office are investigating a fire that killed a child Friday morning.

Members of the Knob Noster police and fire departments were called to a structure fire at about 8:45 a.m. Friday on the 400 block of West McPherson Street, according to a release from the Knob Noster Police Department.

Investigators soon discovered a child had died as an apparent result of the fire.

The fire is now under investigation by the Missouri State Fire Marshal’s Office and the Knob Noster Police Department.

Investigators are not releasing additional information at this time.
