Jeremiah D. Watson, 17, was northbound on Hopewell Road less than half of a mile south of Hieronymus Road when he drove off the right side of the roadway. Troopers reported Watson overcorrected, returned to the road and went off the left side. His pickup overturned, striking a mailbox and a utility marker before coming to a rest upright.
Watson, who was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, suffered minor injuries in the wreck and was transported by private vehicle to Bothwell Regional Health Center at about 5 p.m.
The Highway Patrol reported a summons is pending in the ongoing crash investigation.
