Two hurt in U.S. 65 crash
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Two people were hurt Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision on U.S. Highway 65, the Highway Patrol reported.
Alfred F. Bellamy, 62, of Sedalia, and Leslie A. Thomas, 22, of Cole Camp, both suffered minor injuries in the accident. Bellamy was taken by private vehicle to Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital in Columbia. Thomas was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center.
The accident happened at about 4:45 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of U.S. Highway 65 and Maltsbarger Road.
Bellamy was westbound on Maltsbarger Road, and failed to yield at the intersection and crossed into the path of Thomas, who struck the passenger side of Bellamy’s vehicle, troopers reported.
Troopers reported charges are pending in the investigation, which was assisted by the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office.
