City will pick up bagged leaves
The City of Sedalia is planning to pick up leaves beginning the week of Nov. 30 and running through Dec. 4.
Residents wanting to participate in leaf clean up must have their leaves in bags and at the curb by 5:30 a.m Nov. 30, according to a news release from the city.
The pick up is for leaves only and no tree limbs, brush or grass will be accepted. The pickup is not part of normal trash day. There will be no alley pickup.
The city reminds residents that it is a violation of city code to rake or blow leaves into streets, sidewalks or storm sewers.
Leaves not collected during the citywide pickup may be taken to the city’s yard waste drop-off site located at 28th Street and New York Avenue. Hours of the drop-off site are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
