Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident Sunday in Johnson County.

Wanda M. Mulkey, 69, of Holden, Helen M. Price, 57, of Republic, a passenger in Mulkey’s vehicle, and Joseph M. Mango, 23, of Whiteman Air Force Base, were taken by ambulance to Research Medical Center in Kansas City.

The accident occurred at 11:29 p.m. as Mulkey was southbound on NW 1421st Road at U.S. Highway 50 near Holden. Mulkey’s vehicle failed to yield causing Mango’s vehicle to hit Mulkey’s in the passenger side, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
