Two Holden residents hospitalized following crash
Two Holden residents were injured in a single-vehicle accident Wednesday in Johnson County.
Michael V. Evans, 45, was taken by helicopter to Research Medical Center in Kansas City with serious injuries.
Lisa L. Evans, 47, a passenger in the vehicle, was taken by ambulance to Research Medical Center with moderate injuries.
The accident occurred at 10 p.m. as Evans was southbound on state Route 131 just south of SW 700 Road near Holden.
Evans’ vehicle drove off the right side of the road, returned and then drove off the left side of the road. The vehicle overturned and landed on its wheels, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.
Both occupants were wearing seat belts, the report states.
