Two hospitalized following crash near Knob Noster
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Two Knob Noster residents were injured in a two-vehicle accident Monday in Johnson County.
Libby J. Avery, 54, and Derek A. Miller, 23, were taken by ambulance to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence with moderate injuries.
The accident occurred at 4:16 p.m. as Miller was southbound on state Route 23, north of East Division Road near Knob Noster. Miller lost control of his vehicle on wet pavement, causing Avery’s northbound vehicle to skid across the roadway and into the path of Miller’s vehicle. After impact, Avery’s vehicle drove off the right side of the road and Miller’s vehicle stopped in the northbound lanes of state Route 23, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.
Avery was wearing a seat belt and it is unknown if Miller was wearing a seat belt, the report states.
