Tipton woman hurt in single-vehicle crash

A Tipton woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident Sunday in Morgan County.

Tammy S. Koechner, 42, was taken by ambulance to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Blue Springs with minor injuries.

The accident occurred at 12:35 p.m. as Koechner was eastbound on Lipton Road just west of U.S. Highway 50 near Syracuse.

Koechner’s vehicle drove off the left side of the road, she then overcorrected and drove off the right side of the road. The vehicle overturned and hit a fence, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Koechner was wearing a seat belt, the report states.
