Lincoln woman hurt in crash on icy road

A Lincoln woman was injured while driving on an icy roadway Monday in Benton County.

Kimberly A. Hartley, 51, was taken by ambulance to Bothwell Regional Health Center with minor injuries.

The accident occurred at 6:39 p.m. as Hartley was northbound on U.S. Highway 65 just north of Firsch Avenue near Lincoln.

Hartley lost control of the vehicle on an icy road and crossed the center line. Hartley overcorrected causing the vehicle to overturn and then drove off the right side of the road and hit a ditch, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Hartley was wearing a seat belt, the report states.
