4 injured in Saline County crash
Four people were injured in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday in Saline County.
Passengers Andrew Gutsman, 10, and Samuel Gutsman, 9, both of Slater, were taken by ambulance to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall with minor injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle, Amy L. Jolliff, 30, of Sweet Springs, and passenger Brooke A. Merit, 27, of Mount View, were taken by ambulance to Fitzgibbon Hospital with moderate injuries.
The accident occurred at 3:05 p.m. as Jolliff was slowing down to make a left turn into a private drive off of state Route 240, just south of 260th Road, near Slater.
A southbound vehicle driven by Aleksander Gutsman, 47, of Slater, passed Jolliff’s vehicle in the left lane and hit her vehicle on the driver’s side. Gutsman’s vehicle drove off the left side of the road and hit a ditch and fence before stopping in a field, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.
All people involved were wearing seat belts, according to the report.
