Johnson County crash sends 1 to hospital

A Warrensburg man was injured in a single-vehicle accident Tuesday in Johnson County.

Richard M. Schein, 39, was taken by ambulance to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence with moderate injuries.

The accident occurred at 1:20 p.m. as Schein was eastbound on Division Road, just west of SW 301st Road, near Centerview.

Schein’s vehicle drove off the right side of the road, returned to the road and then drove off the right side again. The vehicle hit a ditch, overturned and came to a stop on its top, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Schein was wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
