Teen hurt in Morgan crash

A Fortuna teen was injured after his vehicle struck a utility pole and overturned, according to Missouri Highway Patrol reports.

Seth J. Haldiman, 17, was taken by ambulance to St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City. He was transferred to another hospital, said a St. Mary’s spokeswoman.

The accident happened about 4 a.m. Sunday on Missouri 5, one mile south of U.S. 50 in Morgan County near Syracuse. Haldiman was southbound when he drove off the road at a curve while traveling at a high speed, troopers reported.

A passenger in the vehicle, Phillip Voss, 17, of Tipton, refused medical care at the accident scene.
