Students from the State Fair Community College Horticulture Club and Agriculture Department spread the holiday cheer last year at the annual Sedalia Area Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade by portraying a pot of perky poinsettias with attendant gardeners. The hundreds of people who lined South Ohio Avenue also had reason to smile back as the forecasted rain held off until after the parade.
