Proposition “Kids First”
Shall the Board of Education of the Sweet Springs R-VII School District, Missouri, borrow money in the amount of Three Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars ($3,600,000), resulting in no estimated increase to the debt service property tax levy, for the purpose of providing funds for the site development, construction, equipping, and furnishing of a new pre-kindergarten through fourth grade elementary building to be located at the site of the existing grade five through grade twelve campus; to complete other remodeling and repair improvements to the existing facilities of the District; and issue bonds for the payment thereof? If this proposition is approved, the adjusted debt service levy of the School District is estimated to remain unchanged at sixty-four cents ($.64) per one hundred dollars of assessed valuation of real and personal property.

(If this Proposition is approved, the adjusted operating levy of the School District is estimated to increase from $2.75 currently to $3.04 per one hundred dollars assessed valuation for the 2009 Tax Year and could be applied to the assessed valuation for each year thereafter.)
