WARRENSBURG — Two Knob Noster men face charges in connection to the rape of a woman in her home on Nov. 9, according to the Warrensburg Police Department.

Adam L. Potter, 29, of 136 NE 631 Road,  and Jesse J. Baumann, 27, of 855 NE Highway R, were charged Friday in Johnson County Circuit Court in connection with the case.  Potter was charged with forcible rape, forcible sodomy and felony stealing. The Johnson County prosecuting attorney charged Baumann with forcible sodomy. Bond was set at $50,000 each.

A 38-year-old Warrensburg woman reported to police that she had been sexually assaulted by two men in her home in the 200 block of Sparks Street. She also reported that the attackers stole her laptop computer. She told police she knew one of the attackers and not the other.

Officers found the laptop computer damaged outside the house.

Warrensburg detectives investigated this case and eventually arrested Potter and Baumann.
