Warrensburg businesses caught selling alcohol to minors
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Four of 10 businesses in Warrensburg sold alcohol to minors during a recent compliance check, according to city Police Chief Bruce Howey.
The Warrensburg Police Department and the University of Central Missouri’s Department of Public Safety conducted alcohol compliance checks Aug. 16 to find out how available alcohol is to minors.
Underage buyers went into businesses and attempted to order alcohol.
Here were the results:
•At Copper Coyote, 630 E. Young St., Jennifer C. Lucas was arrested on a charge of sale of alcohol to a minor.
•At Mexico Lindo, 818 S. Maguire St., Maria A. Cervantes was arrested on a charge of sale of alcohol to a minor.
•At El Vaquero, 708 N. Charles St., Tika N. Wrisner was arrested on two charges of sale of alcohol to a minor.
•At Nathan’s Grill and Bar, 609 E. Young Street #C6, Wayne T. Yandell was arrested on two charges of sale of alcohol to a minor.
Businesses that complied with the law included Rib Crib, 111 Parsons, Applebee’s, 255 E. Cooper, Players, 627 E. Russell Ave., Heroes, 107 W. Pine St. Monetti’s, 214 E. Culton St., Kenny’s, 717 S. Maguire St.
