Satnan: People power pulling Airstreamers across U.S.

In conversations the past week or so with Airstream owners, three things typically come out: their love for the tie that binds them — their travel trailers; their affinity for the people with whom they are sharing the west campground at the Missouri State Fairgrounds, and how much they like Sedalia, its residents and our restaurants.

People from across the United States and Canada have literally set up camp in Sedalia — some for the better part of a month — for the official purpose of handling the business of Wally Byum Caravan Club International. In reality, however, the majority of the rally attendees are here to hang out with people they have come to know through the common interest of Airstream trailers, but come to appreciate because they are laid back, fun and adventurous.
