Thank you to Doug Kneibert for his letter (“Columnist attacked benefits of faith,” Tuesday) in response to Bonnie Erbe’s Jan. 1 commentary attacking Christianity.
I am wondering where the response was from our area ministers. Do they not feel that defending Christianity is in their job description? Christians are such easy targets to attack. This is why God has called special people to be spiritual shepherds to guide his flock. Just as shepherds wield their staff and stand strong to fight off predators that seek to harm their flock, so God expects them to defend his children. If they, who God has called to lead, lack the conviction to defend Christianity, where does that leave their people?
