McMullen: Differing gas prices fueling drivers’ anger

Posted: Monday, July 16, 2012 12:00 am | Updated: 11:52 am, Wed Sep 5, 2012.

“It is Saturday ... gas at Casey’s in La Monte is $3.12 but gas in Sedalia is $3.24, folks. Ain’t I glad I live in La Monte where I can buy gas 12 cents a gallon cheaper while you folks in Sedalia can pay the high price. Sedalia is ripping you folks off. Good day,” said one caller in the most recent edition of the Sedline.

Now, the Land of Seven Lions is a nice place, to be sure, but I don’t know that the price of gas is the sole deciding factor when you’re considering the quality of a community.
