The Smith-Cotton High School DECA program achieved high levels of success again this year, with two teams placing in the top 10 in their categories at the international competition held recently in California. Our students also worked with Child Safe of Central Missouri to create a new logo and launch an awareness program to help the community better understand what this important agency does in our community.

We had 11 students qualify for the international competition, and they would not have been able to compete with the best in the world if not for the generation donations of many local businesses and individuals, including: M&L Construction, Koenig Law Office, Schilby’s Automotive, W-K Chevrolet, Joe Machens Ford, Moore’s Greenhouse, Hair Salon & Spa, State Farm-Margaret Ward, Central Bank of Missouri, Duke Manufacturing, Healthy Habits, Dugan’s Paint, Rick Ball Ford, Spencer Orthodontics, Mike Poe Drywall, Premier Climate Control, Otten Small Engine, Raynor Garage Doors, Family Medicine, Advantage Metals Recycling, Inter-State Studio Publishing Company, Callis, Rea Funeral Chapel, Jim Mathewson, Thompson Hills Investment Corp., Freddy’s Steakburgers, Colton’s Steakhouse, El Tapatio, Bandana’s BBQ, Kavanaugh Orthodontics and Ohio Hair Company.

We thank all of our donors for their contributions, and the community for its continuing support of our program.
