This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. The information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.
Sedalia Police Department
4:30 p.m.: Two juveniles were walking near East Third Street and South Mill Avenue when they were approached by a subject in a vehicle, asking if they wanted a ride. They refused and the subject drove off.
6:30 a.m.: A Nissan Maxima was damaged while parked in the 3100 block of Brianna Boulevard.
10 a.m.: An iPod valued at $200 was stolen at Smith-Cotton Junior High School in the 300 block of East Broadway Boulevard.
11 a.m.: A Virgin Mobile Venture cellphone was stolen at Smith-Cotton High School in the 2000 block of Tiger Pride Boulevard.
3 p.m.: A trailer was stolen from a parking lot in the 500 block of West Saline Avenue.
6 p.m.: A TV valued at $1,000 was stolen from a residence in the 1600 block of South Osage Avenue.
9:29 p.m.: A window was damaged at a residence in the 1500 block of South New York Avenue.
Missouri State Highway Patrol
3:22 p.m.: Brooke N. Covington, 31, of Higginsville, in Johnson County, on charges of driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right side of the road.
5:14 p.m.: Robert R. Morris, 22, of Boonville, in Cooper County, on a charge of possession of marijuana.
10:15 p.m.: Crystel D. Kearney, 50, of Smithon, in Pettis County, on charges of tampering with a motor vehicle, driving while intoxicated, driving with a revoked license, leaving the scene of an accident, tampering with evidence and careless and imprudent driving.
