March 9 Police Reports
This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. The information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.
Sedalia Police Department
2:10 p.m.: Jade A. Buckner, 19, of the 2800 block of South Ingram Avenue, near the intersection of Saline Avenue and Emmett Avenue, on a charge of driving while revoked.
7:54 p.m.: Jerry F. Gerloff, 24, of Clarksburg, near the intersection of 11th Street and Ingram Avenue, on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
12:01 a.m.: A truck valued at $4,000 was stolen in the 700 block of Wilkerson Avenue.
12:39 p.m.: Several items were stolen from a residence in the 200 block of South Quincy Avenue. They include: 100 DVDs valued at $20 each, a Wii system valued at $180, a PlayStation system valued at $100, six Wii games valued at $150, four PlayStation games valued at $40, and eight eagle statues valued at a total of $180.
12:23 p.m.: Twenty-five feet of copper piping was stolen from a residence in the 200 block of South Grand Avenue.
5:15 p.m.: Change was stolen from ashtrays in two vehicles in a driveway in the 2300 block of East 16th Street.
8 p.m.: A trespassing complaint was filed in the 900 block of South Kentucky Avenue.
6 a.m.: Glove boxes in two vehicles were ransacked in the 2000 block of East Ninth Street.
4 p.m.: $350 in cash was stolen from a bedroom in the 300 block of North Prospect Avenue.
Pettis County Sheriff’s Office
2:30 p.m.: Property damage was reported in the 1300 block of East Boonville Road.
Missouri State Highway Patrol
1:05 p.m.: Jared T. Martinez, 29, of Odessa, in Benton County, on charges of felony driving while intoxicated, failure to register a motor vehicle and no insurance.
11:20 a.m.: Timothy S. Helzer, 55, of Ozark, in Henry County, on charges of felony driving while intoxicated, driving while revoked and speeding.
12:48 a.m.: Burt R. Barbour, 20, of Syracuse, in Moniteau County, on charges of driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving involving an accident.
11:43 a.m.: Roy T. Newman, 43, of Sedalia, in Pettis County, on charges of felony driving while intoxicated and failing to signal.
