This list is a sampling of crime in Sedalia and the surrounding area. The information is taken from official police reports, which do not necessarily contain statements from all parties involved in each case.
Sedalia Police Department
11 a.m.: Steven Harlan, 39, of Warrensburg, near the intersection of U.S. Highway 50 and Vermont, on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
11:52 a.m.: Christopher A. Purl, 31, of the 1500 block of South Missouri Avenue, at his home on a charge of possession of child pornography.
5:19 p.m.: Cory J. Draper, 23, of the 300 block of West 13th Street, in the 700 block of Winchester Drive, on a charge of driving while suspended.
6:45 p.m.: A 911 hangup was investigated in the 1100 block of East 11th Street.
5:30 p.m.: A fraudulent checking account charge was reported in the 200 block of East 19th Street.
3:18 a.m.: A complainant said she received 78 harassing phone calls in the 1400 block of South Limit Avenue.
12:05 p.m.: A seller of an item received two fake money orders in the 3100 block of Brianna Boulevard.
2:49 p.m.: A rim and tire valued at $40 were stolen from the 200 block of South Quincy Avenue.
3:16 p.m.: An officer responded to a report that a child was not picked up after school in the 1900 block of South New York Avenue. The child’s aunt later picked up the child.
7:40 p.m.: A lost license plate was reported in the 1100 block of East Third Street.
9:11 p.m.: A barking dog complaint was made in the 100 block of South Grand Avenue.
11 p.m.: Side windows were smashed out of four different vehicles parked in a yard in the 1000 block of East Third Street. Stolen items included a Kenwood stereo valued at $360, a Sony stereo of unknown value, a Craftsman battery charger valued at $600 and a Schumacher jump box valued at $199.
1:30 p.m.: An assault complaint was made in the 200 block of South Quincy Avenue.
2:48 p.m.: An officer responded to a report of a gas smell at a residence in the 1500 block of East Sixth Street and found that copper pipes were cut and stolen in the basement.
Pettis County Sheriff’s Office
10:30 a.m.: Jeremy S. Futscher, address unknown, in the 400 block of South Ohio Avenue, on a charge of receiving stolen property.
8:13 p.m.: Property was damaged outside a business in the 1400 block of West 32nd Street in Sedalia.
7:23 a.m.: Property was reported stolen from the 10100 block of Highway 52 in Windsor.
9:11 a.m.: A vehicle was towed that was blocking the roadway near the intersection of Highway B and Highway AA in Green Ridge.
4:31 p.m.: Fraudulent use of a credit device was reported in the 19000 block of Highway Y.
Missouri State Highway Patrol
2:50 p.m.: Debbie J. Rourke, 44, of Osage City, Kan., in Cooper County, on a charge of operating a vehicle without a valid license.
8:45 p.m.: Luis E. Aguado, 20, of California, Mo., in Moniteau County, on charges of driving while suspended, speeding, and minor visibly intoxicated.
11:23 p.m.: Stephen C. Ross, 40, of Clinton, in Henry County, on a charge of felony driving while intoxicated.
12:11 a.m.: Clarence E. Gilmore, 45, of Stover, in Morgan County, on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
2 a.m.: Jennie M. Phillips, 31, of Green Ridge, in Pettis County, on charges of driving while intoxicated and no license plate lamp.
2:52 a.m.: Jayson T. Partl, 22, of Summerville, S.C., in Johnson County, on charges of driving while intoxicated and speeding.
3:15 a.m.: Cody P. Gorman, 26, of Warrensburg, in Johnson County, on charges of driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the road.
10:29 a.m.: John D. Wilson, 30, of Warsaw, in Benton County, on charges of felony driving while intoxicated, failure to display plates, no insurance and no seat belt.
