Bush's dedication helps land acceptance into West Point

Posted: Tuesday, June 12, 2012 12:00 am | Updated: 11:50 am, Wed Sep 5, 2012.

Jordan Bush knew in the seventh grade that West Point was where she wanted to attend college. That dream will come true June 27 as she heads to New York City with her parents. She is the first female from Smith-Cotton High School to be accepted into the academy.

“I think she is an outstanding young lady that has a lot of goals for herself,” said Command Sgt. Maj. Randall Woods, instructor of the Smith-Cotton JROTC program. “What a great achievement for herself and for her community.”
